In the battle against cancer, knowledge is power and attitude is
everything. I have watched people I love- both friends and family-
battle cancer and win. I have watched the people I love battle cancer
and lose. Both can be hard on everyone involved, but the latter is
always difficult, especially if you feel like the days you had were not
enough. I am certain that I would be hard pressed to find someone who
has not been touched by cancer. Cancer sucks and I am asking you to
make a donation to help fight the battle against it. Donate for
yourself. For your best friend. For your grandmother. For your
uncle. For the guy who lived down the hall in college. For your
cousin. For the child who smiles through the chemo. Make a donation
for the hope that comes from the research. Everyone can make a
difference, and no donation is too small!
Can you believe that more than 1.3 million new cancer cases are
expected to be diagnosed in the United States this year? Those are
staggering statistics, but there is hope. Each of us can do something
to save lives and help those already fighting this disease. That's why
I've decided to take action against cancer by supporting the American
Cancer Society Relay For Life® event in Amherst, MA.
Relay For Life is an overnight event that brings our community
together to help support the American Cancer Society and its lifesaving
mission to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The Society
works hard every day to prevent cancer and save lives by supporting
groundbreaking research, affecting public policies that protect us from
cancer, and educating people on how to prevent or detect cancer early.
The Society helps people with cancer right here in our own community,
and Relay supporters help the American Cancer Society to keep working
toward a cancer-free future.
I want to invite you to show your support in the ongoing fight
against cancer by joining us for this years event. Please click on the
link (or copy and paste it) to support my team: http://www.acsevents.org/relay/mafivecollege/deanna
We hope to see you there! If you can't join us, will you please visit
the site and make a donation to support our efforts? Either way, you
will make a real difference in the lives of people facing cancer – and
in the lives of the people who love them. Thank you!

| The last day has been funny....
My Mom: "Can I take a minute of your time?" Sure. "I'm just wondering how a biomedical scientist meets a guy who works for ESPN." Finally the question we were waiting for someone to ask. I told her.
Oh did you think I was going to tell you?
My Dad (a tone of hinting in his voice): "So he must get tickets to games." Dad you're already the third person to bring this up.
This morning at my chiropractor's office... "So how are you doing this week?" I'm good, but my neck is really stiff from being all contorted on the couch after the game. (Another person jumps into the room) "Do tell!!!" Whoa not like that! Just some of the ways I was laying while we were watching movies. "Would you like some soft tissue work and e stim?" Yes please.

| It never fails...
Whenever in life I've gotten to the point where I say, "I'm ALL set." Had enough with men, all set with dating, I like being single, I'm going to get a dog.... It never fails when this arrives, so does someone.
So we'll see.....
